Changing the way the world looks at virtualization
Parallels Workstation 2.1 Beta2 is now available for download! This new Beta version improves VM performance, provides better USB support, and fixes bugs found in Beta1.
What's most impressive about the new version is its cool new interface. Check it out below:
This interface completely blew me away when I first saw it. Its just so much more user friendly and engaging than the traditional white and grey boxes you get with most Windows programs.

Virtualization for Dummies
The more I talk to downloaders and general computer users, the more I realize that virtualization is a topic that's sometimes hard to understand. In response to that, I've started working on a "Beginners Guide to Virtualization". This online guide will have a brief outline of what virtualization is, summaries of the different types of virtualization, how Parallels approaches virtualization, and a pretty comprehensive "virtualization in action" section that shows how Parallels Workstation can help save time and money in the real world.
Is there a topic that you think should be included? Want to contribute to the guide or serve as an early reviewer? Email me and let me know!
Have a good weekend, I'll see you all Monday.

Parallels Releases Workstation 2.1 Beta!
Big news today! This morning we released Workstation 2.1 beta, an upgraded version of our popular desktop virtualization solution. Why is this release important, you ask? This version introduces a number of important new features that our users requested, such as USB support, the ability to run on PAE (Physical Address Extension) enabled computers, wireless networking support in Windows, and a new Tools package.
Our approach to this, and all of our releases, was to include "everything you need, nothing you don't". Rather than pack the product full of features that most people will never use, we decided to focus on critical features that are used every day. This approach produced a product that's easy to install, runs at near-native speeds, and provides the most stable virtual machines available.
Check out 2.1 for yourself! See what's new in 2.1 and download a free, fully-functional 45-day copy here.
