Parallels Theme Music Winners!

Thanks to everyone (all 100+ of you) who submitted songs for consideration for our hypothetical "Parallels Theme Music." We got a ton of great songs, some of which were so good and/or funny that I had to list them as special "honorable mentions". Here they are:

Best song by an indie band who's album you can pick up at Best Buy:
The Fratellis - "Chelsea Dagger"

Best song by a band you've never heard of:
The Vesties - "Looking at Me"

Best Classic:
The Beatles - "Come Together"

Song that made me feel like I was back in Junior High
Mazzy Star - "Fade Into You" (how perfect is this for Coherence?)

Song that would be perfect, but we can't afford the rights and its super annoying:
Hannah Montana - "Best of Both Worlds"

Best 80's track:
Lionel Ritchie - "Easy"

And the winner is...

The Apples in Stereo - "Energy"

It's a great track, and there's even an "Apple" in the band's name. Now if that's not a winner, I don't know what is.
