Hello blog readers, time to make my holiday wish list!
It’s way past time to make one, I know. Shopping time is nearly over;
Black Friday is long gone and yes, obviously I was one of the lucky survivors. You see I have an excellent strategy for Black Friday shopping that I enacted years ago, due to my small stature. I'm prone to being trampled. My strategy is to hide like a coward under my warm blankie come Nov 28th, and wait until the madness ends. Online shopping for the win.
Without further ado, I give you my 2008 Holiday Wish List!
(I know, you're on the edge of your seat)
- Harman Kardon GLA-55 Speakers: Saw these on Amazon last week. I don’t even care if they sound that great, they’re beautiful. Just in case the $999.99 price tag is too much for my holiday shoppers, I found these as well. I'm pretty sure they're just clear plastic, though.
- An early release of Snow Leopard: No comment
- Trained tortoise with comfy saddle: For leisurely office travel. I would migrate from room to room whilst blogging on my MacBook. I’d name him Louie and he would be treated like a king; fed only the finest greens and… whatever else it is tortoises eat.
- Tiny robots which reenact the American Civil War: No practical use here, so don’t look for one. At least one of the Generals must be voiced by Tommy Lee Jones (superfluous link).
While doing official research for this blog, I sat down and had a chat with our lovely Seattle tech-support to see what was on each of their personal wish lists. One requested a bottle of thirty-year-old single malt scotch and another wanted a quantum computer. I'm giving them all holiday string cheese instead, I'm sure they'll love it.
Now seeing how it's not very politically correct (yeah sure, this coming right after the booze joke) to name a single holiday entity to send my wish list to, I will be sending out copies of the list to all the following holiday patrons:
Santa Claus
Robot Santa Claus
Hanukkah Harry
Steve Jobs
Stephen Hawking
Lex Luthor
Robin Williams
So now that my list is out in the open, it’s time to hear from the community. Don't be shy! Is there a special MacBook out there what caught your eye? A movie perhaps? An album? Socks? How about a “features” wish list for your favorite Parallels software? Post them all in the blog comments below or on
our Facebook page.
Cheers, and Happy Festivus!
Electric trains... a bicycle... and a shiny new version of Parallels Workstation for Windows and Linux.
