I am going from PC to Mac and hear good things about Parallels. I need to run Simply accounting for my bussiness. Does any one use this combo and how does it work?

There are lots of great comments on Parallels 7, but after I upgraded from Parallels 4 to 7, on a Mac Pro running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 I have noticed two big problems:

1. How on earth does one move files from the Mac OS to Linux (Debian 6) VM or visa versa? Mac to Win XP is a simple drag and drop, but what about Linux?

Drag and drop does not seem to work for Linux (it works fine for Windows even in Parallels 4) but scouring the message boards has not revealed the trick of moving files between the two VMs other than FTP, which is awfully tedious.

2. Parallels 7 seems to need more memory. Despite 4GB of RAM, a Win XP VM and Debian VM each with 1GB of space allocated, goes into total paging. Just ordered 8GB to solve the problem. I have lots of disk space free, just the RAM run out when there was nothing else hungry running.
