We’re headed to WebHostingDay!

As you may know, we are just getting back and unpacking from our own 2009 Parallels Summit (held in Las Vegas). The event was a huge success and became the "biggest event in the hosting industry" for the US with over 1000 attendees.  Now it’s time to turn our attention to WebhostingDay 2009, the largest European web hosting conference.  (Parallels and WebhostingDays obviously have a lot in-common and I hate to toot our own horns, but awwwww…toot toot!)

From the 17th to the 20th of March you can find us in Germany with more than 50 of our international partners, including Microsoft, AMD and interxion, hobnobbing with the 1,200 or so senior level executives attending the event.  If you’re in the hosting industry and you’ve just realized this is the must-attend event (after Parallels Summit) in the calendar and you’re NOT REGISTERED, you may be tempted to panic and run around screaming. We’ll be sending the best of the best to represent our company to WHD to foster important conversations about the rapidly changing hosting space and the new competitors entering the market and impacting the industry.

Serguei Beloussov Parallels CEO, will be on hand to describe Parallels' Cloud Computing vision and how service providers and businesses can win in an ever-changing landscape where the Giants (Googles, Amazons,etc...) are making their name in hosted computing.

Jack Zubarev, President, Service Provider Worldwide of Parallels, will talk about the changing landscape of the hosting industry and highlight key strategies and opportunities for hosters and resellers of any size to thrive in this competitive market in a session entitled "Empowering Hosting Resellers to Survive and Thrive."

We’ve moved!...kinda.

So, okay – we haven’t really mooooved per se, just changed the focus of our LinkedIn page.  Since the 2009 Parallels Summit wrapped up last week, we have decided to switch gears a bit and discuss the most popular topics from the event.  What used to be “Parallels Summit 2009” – a group we set up to help Summit attendees network before, during and after the event – will now be "Parallels Cloud Computing" and will focus on…wait for it… cloud computing!
