OzHosting has been an innovator in delivering cloud services in the land down under since 1997 and has directly experienced the growth opportunity described in Parallels research - SMB Cloud Insights. Specifically on email and collaboration services, this research indicates that:
The market size of Hosted Communication & Collaboration as a cloud service for SMB is growing from $4B in 2011 to $10B in 2014 representing both a large and a fast growing market opportunity for service providers and ISVs providing email/collaboration cloud services.
Hosted email is the earliest set of cloud services service providers take to market after web hosting.
Google Apps is helping customers discover an alternate way of working and has over 5M customers and tens of millions of active users. In addition to hundreds of feature enhancements last year, Google announced the availability of reseller APIs in October 2012 and worked with a Parallels system integration partner, SofCloudIT, to create an integration with Parallels Automation using the APS Standard for Google Apps that leverages those newly minted APIs.
All of this meant that Google Apps for Business represented a nice revenue opportunity for OzHosting as a Parallels partner. So when Google Apps for Business was becoming available as one of the latest email/collaboration service entrants to the Parallels Automation ISV community, OzHosting seized on the opportunity to be the first to market with this offering.
OzHosting is proud to be the first partner to launch Google Apps for Business managed by Parallels Automation using the newly developed APS package. The photograph below is from the media event in Australia accompanying the launch.
